IDLES

IDLES are a post-punk band from Bristol, formed in 2009. Built around the raw, confrontational vocals of Joe Talbot and a ferocious rhythm section, the band have become one of the most vital and talked-about acts in British rock — known for their intense live shows and lyrics that tackle toxic masculinity, mental health, grief and political unrest head-on.

Their 2017 debut Brutalism announced them as a serious force, while Joy as an Act of Resistance (2018) broke them to a wider audience and won the Mercury Prize. Ultra Mono and CRAWLER followed, cementing their reputation as a band unafraid to evolve.
