Black Honey - Soak

Black Honey – Soak

Gritty guitars, cinematic atmosphere and infectious melodies meet a more personal kind of songwriting on Soak, the fourth studio album from British indie rock band Black Honey. Following 2023’s A Fistful of Peaches, the record turns inward without leaving the band’s unmistakable edge behind.

Drawing on a decade of touring, addiction and personal change, frontwoman Izzy Phillips explores identity, recovery and the work of learning to accept yourself. That openness gives Soak its emotional centre: vulnerable reflections set against the guitar-driven sound that makes Black Honey such a compelling band.

For listeners drawn to indie rock with both bite and feeling, this is a record to spend time with. Put it on, settle into its cinematic world and let the songwriting take the lead.
