Boygenius – The Record

Released in March 2023, The Record is the debut full-length from Boygenius — the supergroup formed by Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. What began as a 2018 EP became something much larger here: a record that draws on each member’s individual strengths while creating a sound that belongs entirely to the three of them together.

Produced by Tony Berg, Blake Mills and the band themselves, The Record moves between intimate folk-rock, driving indie and moments of genuine grandeur. The interplay between the three voices — individually distinctive, collectively extraordinary — is the heart of the album. It won four Grammy Awards and was widely regarded as one of the best records of the year.
