Released in 2021, In These Silent Days is Brandi Carlile’s seventh studio album, written during lockdown with longtime collaborators and bandmates Tim and Phil Hanseroth. Inspired by the process of writing her memoir Broken Horses, it channels the spirit of David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Elton John and Joni Mitchell — artists who, by some alignment of the stars, have since become close friends as well as lifelong heroes.

Ten songs chronicling acceptance, faith, loss and love, delivered with the warmth and conviction that has made Carlile one of the most celebrated voices in American music. A six-time Grammy Award winner at the peak of her powers.
