Cigarettes After Sex – Ep I

Cigarettes After Sex’s debut EP introduces a sound that feels weightless and immersive from the very first note. Emerging from Brooklyn, the band crafts a form of ambient pop built on slow-moving rhythms, reverb-drenched guitars and a hazy, late-night atmosphere that recalls the quiet intensity of Mazzy Star.

Across its four tracks, songwriter Greg Gonzalez delivers soft, breathy vocals that give the songs a sense of intimacy and distance at the same time. The arrangements are minimal but rich in mood, allowing each note to linger and settle, creating a feeling of deep, understated melancholy.
