Gripper boot – 20 eyelet external steel cap – black leather
The Original Gripper Steel Cap Boot is an allgender twenty-eyelet boot based on an original British Army last, with a screwed cleated rubber outsole, external steel toe cap and three-row puritan stitching on the toe covering. The pressed steel cap, finished with a semi-polished surface, is marked UGUK1981 and built into the boot using a unique construction process.
An Underground original from the 1980s, the Gripper was one of the first styles produced by the brand and remains as popular as ever. Constructed with 100% leather uppers on a cleated rubber sole, it is a heroic working boot re-appropriated as a uniform for counterculture. Available in single, double and triple sole options, with internal or external steel cap, in sizes 2–14. Vegan-friendly options also available.
