De La Soul - Cabin in the Sky

De La Soul – Cabin in the Sky

Love, loss and the bonds that keep us moving forward sit at the heart of Cabin in the Sky. De La Soul bring their soulful hip-hop sensibility to a deeply personal record honouring their late bandmate Dave Trugoy the Dove Jolicoeur, making space for grief without losing the warmth and humour that define the group.

Soulful samples, thoughtful lyrics and an unmistakable groove connect reflections on memory and friendship with moments of hope. This is music to settle into and spend time with, a record whose emotional weight is balanced by the joy of shared history and the enduring pull of a good beat.

For longtime listeners and anyone drawn to hip-hop with heart, Cabin in the Sky offers a heartfelt chapter in De La Soul’s story: a celebration of the people who shape us and the music that keeps them close.
