Released in 1995, Adrenaline is the Deftones’ debut album and the record that announced one of the most distinctive voices in heavy music. Raw, aggressive and full of restless energy, it established the Sacramento band’s unique approach — heavy riffs and abrasive textures shot through with moments of unexpected melody and vulnerability.

Bored, Engine No. 9, Minus Blindfold and Nosebleed showcase a band already operating with real conviction. Less polished than their later work but no less powerful, Adrenaline remains essential listening for anyone tracing the roots of the Deftones’ sound.
