On 23 July 1968, Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention took over the Whisky a Go Go for an all-night session — three sets, fully recorded with the intention of shaping a live album. That record never materialised. Fragments surfaced over the years, but the full performance remained buried in the Vault for over five decades.

Now, 55 years later, those tapes are revisited. This 2LP edition pulls together highlights from the complete night, capturing the band in a loose, exploratory form — part performance, part experiment. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl and including liner notes by Joe Travers, it is an essential document for any serious Zappa collection.
