Released in 1996, The Score is the Fugees’ second and final album, and one of the most accomplished records of the decade. Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel brought together hip-hop, soul, reggae, jazz and blues into something that felt genuinely new — genre-blending without ever losing focus or coherence.

Lauryn Hill’s cover of Killing Me Softly became the album’s defining moment, but Ready or Not, Fugee-La and No Woman, No Cry showed the full range of what the trio could do. It sold over 22 million copies worldwide and remains one of the best-selling rap albums of all time.
