Fortitude is Gojira’s seventh studio album, released in 2021 and their most overtly ambitious statement yet. Where Magma turned inward — grief, loss, the personal — Fortitude looks outward, channelling ecological urgency, indigenous rights and the fragility of the natural world into some of the most powerful music the band have ever made.

Produced once again by Joe and Mario Duplantier, the album opens with Another World, a track that became an anthem almost immediately, and sustains that energy across nine tracks that balance crushing heaviness with genuine melody and purpose. Gojira have always operated at the intersection of technical precision and raw emotion — Fortitude is the fullest expression of that yet.
