Released in September 1991 alongside Use Your Illusion II, Use Your Illusion I is the first volume of Guns N’ Roses’ landmark double album project — a record that signalled the band’s ambition to move beyond hard rock into something grander and more expansive. Right Next to You, Live and Let Die and the epic November Rain are among the standout moments, the latter featuring a full 50-piece orchestra recorded newly for this edition.

This remastered edition has been transferred for the first time ever from high-resolution 96kHz/24-bit sources taken directly from the original stereo half-inch analogue master tapes. The orchestral arrangement for November Rain was newly recorded, conducted and arranged by Grammy Award winner and Emmy Award nominated composer Christopher Lennertz. Pressed as a 2LP set — the definitive version of this record.
