Imagine Dragons - Evolve

Released in 2017, Evolve is Imagine Dragons’ third studio album and a deliberate shift towards a bigger, more streamlined sound. Following Smoke + Mirrors, the Las Vegas band pushed further into the space between pop rock, electronic production and arena-sized songwriting, creating some of the most recognisable tracks of their career.

The album is driven by huge rhythms, electronic textures and Dan Reynolds’ distinctive vocals, with “Believer”, “Thunder” and “Whatever It Takes” becoming defining songs of this period. Despite its polished production, there’s still plenty of tension underneath,  resilience, self-doubt and personal transformation run throughout the record.

Direct, energetic and built for scale, Evolve captures Imagine Dragons at the point where their combination of rock and electronic pop became fully realised.
