Inspired by Brandon Flowers’ upbringing in Nephi, Utah — a small town shaped by industry, faith and quiet hardship — the album steps away from the band’s arena-rock instincts in favour of something slower, more personal and more affecting.

Each song tells a story rooted in real lives and real places, with spoken-word interludes from Nephi residents adding texture and humanity. Tracks like Quiet Town, Desperate Things and Runaway Horses carry a weight and stillness that sets Pressure Machine apart from anything else in their catalogue. A record that rewards patience and close listening.
