King Crimson – In the Court of the Crimson King
Released in October 1969, In the Court of the Crimson King is King Crimson's debut album and one of the most influential records in rock history. A landmark of progressive rock, it arrived fully formed — orchestral in ambition, dark in mood and unlike anything that had come before. Robert Fripp, Greg Lake, Michael Giles, Ian McDonald and Peter Sinfield created something that still sounds extraordinary today.
This 50th anniversary edition is pressed on 200-gram audiophile vinyl. The 2LP set features all-new 2019 stereo mixes approved by Robert Fripp on LP1, and alternate takes and recordings on LP2 — five pieces mixed by Steven Wilson, two by David Singleton. Cut by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering from original 24/96 high-resolution source files. Artwork meticulously restored from the original paintings. Available as 1LP (standard stereo mix) or 2LP (anniversary edition).
