Kneecap - Fine Art

Kneecap – Fine Art

Step inside The Rutz, the imaginary West Belfast pub at the heart of Fine Art. Kneecap turn this community meeting place into the setting for a record full of sharp humour, vivid characters and the overlapping sounds of Irish and English. It is a world to get immersed in, not just a collection of tracks.

Working with producer Toddla T, Mo Chara, Moglaí Bap and DJ Provaí build that world across twelve tracks and the interconnecting scenes between them. Recorded contributions from friends, including DJ Annie Mac, help bring the pub to life, with conversations and encounters threading the album together.

Intelligent, irreverent and thought-provoking, Fine Art puts the Belfast trio’s personality front and centre. Their bilingual hip-hop makes language part of the record’s restless energy, while the fictional setting gives its stories a shared home. Put the needle down and follow the action from the first track to the last.
