Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory
The debut album from Linkin Park, released on 24 October 2000 via Warner Bros. Records. Produced by Don Gilmore, it established the band’s fusion of alternative rock, metal and hip-hop — built around themes drawn from Chester Bennington’s adolescence: addiction, family conflict and personal frustration, balanced with heavy rhythmic guitars, electronic textures and melodic hooks.
One Step Closer, Crawling, Papercut and In the End drove the album’s reach, with the latter becoming one of the defining tracks of the era. Certified Diamond in the United States — one of the most commercially successful debut albums of its time.
