Big Calm is the second studio album by London trip-hop trio Morcheeba, released in April 1998 via China Records. A landmark of late-1990s downtempo music, the album blends blues, soul, and electronic production into something warm, hazy, and deeply atmospheric — the sound of a Sunday afternoon stretched into infinity.

Skye Edwards' languid, honeyed vocals drift over Paul Godfrey's beats and Ross Godfrey's slide guitar, creating a mood that is both melancholic and deeply comforting. Tracks like The Sea, Rome Wasn't Built in a Day, and Shoulder Holster remain some of the most evocative recordings of the era.

Big Calm reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart and remains Morcheeba's defining statement.
