Released in April 1992, Slanted and Enchanted is Pavement's debut album and one of the most influential indie rock records ever made. Recorded on a four-track in a Sacramento garage, it arrived fully formed — lo-fi but deliberate, abrasive but melodic, and unlike anything else being made at the time.

Here, Trigger Cut, Zurich Is Stained and Summer Babe are among the tracks that established Pavement's signature sound: loose, witty and deceptively precise. A record that defined a generation of independent music and still sounds completely itself.
