The Cult – Sonic Temple

Released in April 1989 and produced by Bob Rock, Sonic Temple is The Cult’s most commercially successful album and one of the defining hard rock records of the late 1980s. Moving away from the gothic rock of their earlier work, the band embraced a bigger, more muscular sound — anthemic, polished and built for arenas.

Fire Woman, Edie (Ciao Baby), Sun King and Sweet Soul Sister are among the standout tracks, each showcasing the chemistry between Ian Astbury’s powerful vocals and Billy Duffy’s signature guitar work. An album that crossed over without selling out — and still sounds enormous on vinyl.

This edition is pressed on translucent green vinyl.
