Released in 2019, IGOR sees Tyler, the Creator pivot into a more melodic, soul-leaning direction. Built around themes of love and heartbreak, the album blends warm synths, distorted funk and 1970s soul influences into a cohesive, mood-driven record that won the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

Highly textural but tightly controlled, IGOR balances its layered production with sharp songwriting — letting rhythms and progressions carry as much weight as the vocals themselves. Guest voices appear as subtle additions rather than centrepieces, within a sound that moves between tension and release.
