Released in 2010, The Fool is the debut album from Los Angeles four-piece Warpaint and one of the most distinctive records of its era. Produced by Tom Biller with mixes from Andrew Weatherall and Adam Samuels, it is a record built on intricate guitar lines, hypnotic layered vocals and driving rhythms that seem to exist outside of time.

Undertow, Elephants, Shadows and Beetles are among the standout tracks on an album that rewards patience and close listening. Dark, atmospheric and deeply immersive — a debut that announced a band with a sound entirely their own.
