More than a decade after Sound & Color, Alabama Shakes return with I Must Be Dreaming, a beginning of a new chapter for the band. The now trio of Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg and Zac Cockrell, released this new and awaited album on the 28th August 2026.

Produced by Shawn Everett alongside Alabama Shakes and recorded in Nashville, the album carries forward their roots in soul, blues and rock while leaving plenty of space for the exploratory instinct that made Sound & Color such an interesting record. Brittany Howard’s voice remains at the centre, raw, powerful and capable of moving from restraint to full force in a matter of seconds.

Singles “Another Life”, “American Dream” and “I Feel Hope Coming” introduce a record shaped by change, reflection and renewal.
