Ornatos Violeta – Cão!

Cão! is the debut studio album from Ornatos Violeta, released on 15 September 1997 by Polygram. The record announced the arrival of one of the most original and beloved bands in Portuguese rock — raw, energetic and entirely their own, blending alternative rock with a distinctly Portuguese sensibility.

Three singles were released from the album: Punk Moda Funk, A Dama do Sinal and Mata-me Outra Vez, each capturing the band's irreverent spirit and melodic instincts. Cão! laid the foundation for what would follow with O Monstro Precisa de Amigos, cementing Ornatos Violeta's place in the canon of Portuguese music.
