Released in 2021, Terra Firma sees Tash Sultana returning after the success of Flow State with a more grounded and reflective record. While the debut captured a sense of expansion and momentum, this second album feels more rooted and a conscious step back towards identity, balance and self-understanding.

Across its 14 tracks, Sultana continues to blur genres, moving between psychedelic rock, soul and alternative sounds, all anchored by their distinctive guitar work and layered production. As before, much of the album is self-built - composed, performed and produced by Sultana - but this time there’s a subtle shift, with the inclusion of collaborators like Matt Corby and Dann Hume, bringing new textures without losing that singular vision.

Terra Firma doesn’t chase scale, it refines it. It’s a record about reconnecting, both musically and personally, balancing technical skill with emotional clarity. The result is something expansive yet centred, where every element feels considered but still alive in the moment.
