Fontaines D.C. are a post-punk band from Dublin, Ireland, formed in 2014 by Grian Chatten (vocals), Conor Deegan III (bass), Carlos O’Connell and Conor Curley (guitars), and Tom Coll (drums). Emerging from the city’s poetry and DIY music scene, the band quickly built a reputation for intense live shows and sharply observed songwriting.

Their debut album Dogrel (2019) was widely acclaimed, earning a Mercury Prize nomination and being named Album of the Year by both Rough Trade and BBC 6 Music. Since then, Fontaines D.C. have become one of the most important bands of the modern post-punk revival, expanding their sound across records such as A Hero’s Death and Skinty Fia.
